Tutu-cute!

My daughter is now a little girl who likes to wear pretty clothes.

Yes, she may only be 21 months old, but she knows how to twirl and flounce with the best of them in a fun, poofy skirt!

Which is why I knew I'd have to make her an extra fluffy tutu.
And since I LOVE tutus on little girls? I knew the fluffier, the better!
If I could get away with wearing a tutu myself? Yup, I totally would. Ha!

So, now I am selling tutus in my shop to share the "puff" with other little girls!

They are just TUTU-cute!

Gobble, Gobble!

Can you believe it?

Thanksgiving is only 9 days week.

Holy moly. WHERE is time GOING? It's just zipping by!

Well since the turkey holiday is right around the bend, I thought I'd tell you about one of my most favorite bows in my etsy shop: the Gobble Gobble Turkey Korker Hair Bow!

Sorry, this isn't a tutorial (I seriously don't have time for one right now, but maybe soon??). ;-)  If you want to try your hand at making one of these little beauties, I showed you once before how I make Korkers in this post.  I found a really great tutorial on youtube (that i have the link in that other post) so if you want to learn how to make a korker, go check it out!

It's a fun process, but time-consuming, so don't think you'll whip through it in no time! Since I have small CHILDREN constantly clamoring for attention, I find that it's the easiest for me to do my korkers in stages. And it could happen over a day OR a matter of days depending on how busy I am. Wind the ribbons and bake.  Cut the ribbons and heal seal.  Form the korker and if I have time right after, partially line the  hair clip. And for this baby, glue on the adorable felt turkey to the front of the korker and then attach to your lined clip.  Voila, you're done!

I'd say the most time-consuming part is the cutting and heat-sealing of the ribbons so I like to do it after the kids have gone to bed and I'm catching up on some DVR'd shows. ;-)

So, give it a shot! Make your little one this sweet turkey hair bow! Or if you just don't have the time or don't feel crafty enough, come visit my shop to purchase one!

Gobble, gobble!!!  Now, I'm off to go make some turkey applique shirts for the kiddos using the shape of their hands that I've traced out....

Lots going in my crafty little slice of the world...

Things have been craaaaaaaaazy lately!

In a good way, of course.

Sales are starting to pick up in my etsy shop, Itty Bitty Bow Boutique, and I couldn't be happier. I credit a bit of that to my FB fan page becuz friends of friends of friends found me that way and have ordered.

So, I've been on a bow-making frenzy lately trying to finish and list all the new holiday stuff.

And one thing making that easier on me? MY NEW CRAFT SPACE!!! I plan on doing a post on that soon once I get it all organized (cuz we are SO far from that, right now) but still...what it looks like now is way better than stuff spread out all over the dining room table.

And seriously, can you beat the view? I get to gaze out at the lake while I work on my bows!

And I'm also thinking of tackling some other items to add to my shop. I'm going to attempt to make my first tutu tonight. I bought red and gold sparkly tulle to make Avery a pretty Christmas-y tutu and i can hardly wait to see the finished product.  I'm also going to be making (either tonight or tomorrow) another tie applique shirt for Hunter, this time with a Christmas theme since I'm doing the kids holiday pictures this weekend. As well as a family portrait. The last (and only!) familiy portrait was taken when Hunter was 8 months old....he's now 3 1/2 and his sister is 20 months. ;-) It's time!

What else? I've decorated for Thanksgiving up in herrrrrrrre...but I'm already planning for my Christmas decorating, as well. I moved my living room/toy room around already to accomodote (where we will put) our Christmas tree. We buy our fresh tree the day after Thanksgiving, it's a tradition I look forward to every year!

So...what's new in your lives? Are you getting ready for the holidays? Oh! BTW, go become a new fan on my fb page to qualify for a coupon code for 10% off your first order in my etsy shop! YAY!
